Alan Ayckbourn Encyclopaedia: Q

Queen Elizabeth II: Alan Ayckbourn was appointed a CBE in 1987 and in 1997 was knighted for 'services to theatre' in 1997 by Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty was a frequent visitor to West End productions of Alan Ayckbourn's plays from Relatively Speaking in 1967 through to the 1970s.
